Color coded green stone is extra-fine grit or 1200 mesh, opposite side is red or 600 mesh. Will quickly sharpen the toughest steel and even carbide knives and tools. Unique interrupted surface speeds sharpening by clearing away the metal particles removed from the tool edge thus enhancing the abrasive action of the diamond crystals.
