From the Manufacturer Designed for use with dry cut metal cutting saws, this blade cuts without the sparks, heat, and smell encountered with standard abrasive blades. The carbide teeth actually cut the metal instead of grinding it away like abrasive wheels but, unlike abrasive wheels, the diameter of the blade remains the same as it cuts. It will save you money, lasting as long as 37 standard abrasive wheels. This blade cannot be used to convert a standard abrasive chop saw into a dry cut saw, as it has a maximum rpm rating of 1,600 rpm. These blades fit the Porter Cable 1410 Dry Cut Saw and other 14-inch dry cut saws with a 1-inch arbor.
