The 12-amp ProHeat upright carpet cleaner from Bissell operates on the premise that hotter water cleans better. So, in addition to the usual water and shampoo combination, the ProHeat includes a built-in heater to heat water an additional 25 degrees F for extra cleaning power. Choose between floor cleaning functionality or pretreat/tool cleaning for lighter jobs. A separate shampoo tank controls the soapiness of the solution, with different ratios for high traffic and normal conditions, as well as a water-only option. Bissell's DirtLifter Powerbrush features five separate brushes to agitate deep-down dirt and gently groom carpet. Though a bit bulky, the cleaner is maneuverable, with an efficiently sized footprint and a 12-inch cleaning path. Its clear nozzle construction lets you monitor results and brush operation. Nice features include the tool caddy, heater indicator light, ergonomic handle grip, spray trigger, quick-release cord wrap, stain brush, and foot-controlled handle release.
