From the Manufacturer The Bosch 1594 is the most powerful planer in its class, and this kit has many features and benefits. This 6.5 Amp, 16,500 RPM, 3-1/4-inch planer has the capacity to make deep cuts of up to 3/32-inch in one pass. Its versatile two-blade system comes with Bosch-exclusive Woodrazor micrograin carbide blades, the sharpest, toughest, tungsten carbide planer blades available, with up to 30-percent longer life than standard carbide blades. The 1594K also accepts standard carbide blades and large HSS blades. As with other Bosch planers, the 1594 features our patented chip ejection system that directs shavings left or right, The ergonomic handle is angled to assist in moving the tool forward, and the planer's trigger lock-off release button is accessible from either side. Its rubberized, ratcheted depth knob provides access to complete depth range within one revolution, and it is shaped for controlled guiding and sure grip. The front and rear shoes are precision-machined, and there are three V-grooves in the front shoe for precise chamfering at various depths. A spring-loaded park shoe is included to protect the blade and workpiece, and it has unique shape to allow automatic retraction, even in the middle of the workpiece. A 9-1/2-inch bevel guide fence is provided to ensure consistent planing from 0-45 degrees through entire workpiece. The 1594K also features convenient systems for changing and mounting blades, carbon brushes, and drive belt. Included are two Woodrazor blades, 10-foot flexible rubber cord, bevel fence, plastic case, blade wrench, and vacuum hose adapter for 1-1/4, 1-1/2, and 35mm hoses.
