The saw's maximum cutting height is 10-1/4 inches, and the upper blade guide uses a smooth and precise rack-and-pinion adjustment mechanism. The column, which acts as the spine of the tool by supporting the upper portion, has been greatly strengthened by the use of a one piece steel dual tapered column. This innovative new column design is another reason why woodworkers look to JET for their tools. We also improved the blade guides by providing a set of 5 bearings on both the top and the bottom, giving excellent blade control.
